Make your sample fit for modern analysis techniques
If a sample meets the criteria of monodispersity, correct particle size and stability, it has the potential to provide high quality structural data in the next step, structural investigation (including NMR, crystallisation 3D-CryoEM and micro-ED). High throughput dynamic light scattering is the ideal tool for sample qualification in structural biochemistry as it can reveal all three criteria simultaneously, highly reliably, non-invasively and from sample volumes < 1 µl down to 80 nl.
By focusing on monodisperse samples and excluding all polydisperse samples from further structural investigations, the success rate is significantly increased and the overall quality of the structural characterisation data is improved.
